HALLOWEEN TOMBSTONE BUYING GUIDE
When it comes to buying your Halloween Tombstones, Monuments
and Accompaniments there are a slew of choices and just as many decisions for you to
make. Remember, not all Halloween tombstones are created equal.
Inexpensive ones made from polystyrene foam, do not look very
realistic, tend to be brittle and do not hold up very well to
abuse. The more expensive ones are usually made from high
density urethane. These look much more genuine and hold up
much better over time, but cost more. Here are the basic questions we ask
ourselves every year.
How much
can you afford to spend? Unless you have unlimited funds you will
probably want to budget
for every Halloween. This means deciding what you want to add for
the current season. There are two ways you can go. You can
spend your budget buying a larger amount of inexpensive
tombstones or buy a smaller amount of high quality ones
adding to the size of your collection every year.
Will your Halloween
theme be scary or light-hearted? There are a
plethora of types and styles of Halloween tombstones
available. Some are on the funny side, some are created to
look just like real tombstones, while others are down
right sinister in appearance. We don't like to mix these
styles together, rather we decide what theme to go with and
buy our tombstones to match.
Are you
building a dedicated graveyard and if so how
realistic do you want it to look? Generally, a full fledged
graveyard will be fenced in with either a fake wrought-iron
fence or a wooden picket fence, and will usually have some
type of creepy entrance-way, even though you
probably won't actually allow visitors to enter the
graveyard itself. It may include special effects such as
fog generated by a fog machine, colored lighting, music and
sound effects, etc.
You can find a very nice selection of high quality tombstones and monuments
on the internet.
We found an incredibly spooky gothic style entrance way and fence columns
made of high density urethane for your Halloween
graveyard. Below are just a few of our favorite designs, but with
the selection out there, you'll have a hard time deciding on what to get.
