Halloween
(1979)
Low-budget, now-classic slasher film about a masked murderer
stalking sexually indulgent teenagers. A huge critical and popular smash, it still
provides enough chills, suspense, and blood to please today's genre fans.
Starring: Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis
Director: John Carpenter
Rating: R |
Halloween II (1981)
Sequel to the king of slasher films, it's not that bad and it fills you
in on why Michael has such a thing for Laurie Strode. This film picks up
in the exact spot that the first one ended so you haven't missed a
thing! A bit more gore for the sake of gore but not bad. Great set of movies for a mini-marathon!
Starring: Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis
Director: Rick Rosenthal
Rating: R |
Trick 'r Treat
(2009)
Fantastic new horror film, direct
to DVD, by Michael Dougherty. The stories revolve around little
Sam, a demonic trick 'r treater who shows up at the scene of each
murder, he's the character of the lead story. Four other
tales of terror are wrapped around to give you a big thrill!

Cox

The Nightmare Before Christmas (2-Disc Collector's Edition + Digital Copy)
Tim Burton's innovative stop-motion animated musical

head of Halloweentown, so this causes some problems. Great for young and
old!

Director: Henry Selick
Rating: PG |
Hocus Pocus
(1993)
A very fun 1993 ghoulish, campy comedy about witches
appearing in present-day America during Halloween. The Sanderson sisters come back to
avenge being hanged in 1663. Two teens and a little sister have to stop them from ruining
the town of Salem, Mass. Beautiful scenery and sets!

The Haunted History of Halloween (History Channel) (A&E DVD Archives)
This is a must-have for any Halloween fanatic.
Host Harry Smith leads this 3,000 year tour through the history of the
quintessentially pagan holiday which has survived to become one of
America's most popular holiday. For centuries this night has celebrated mystery and chaos, a time between summer and
winter, and a New Year. On October 31 we are actually carrying on a
tradition that goes back thousands of years to the Celtic tribes of
northern Europe. |
The Crow (Miramax/Dimension Collector's Series)
(1994)
A man murdered by the vermin who rape and kill his fiancé comes back

The Evil Dead
(1981)
This is one movie that is sure to send chills down your spine in between
the laughs. It's a very dark comedy with plenty of over the top gore and
a great history to the film. Bruce Campbell at his first and finest!
Starring: Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard DiManincore
Director: Sam Rami
Rating: R |
The Exorcist (The Version You've Never Seen) (1973)
This film still creeps me right out, even after all these years! A young
girl is possessed by a demon that just doesn't want to leave. With the
demon's voice being done by older actress, Mercedes McCambridge, it
gives it a very other worldly effect.
Starring: Linda Blair, Ellen Burstyn
Director: William Friedkin
Rating: R |
Re-Animator (1985)
This is, by far, the grossest movie that I have ever seen so if you are
in the mood for tons o' gore, take a look. From a story by H.P.
Lovecraft, Dr. West wants to play God and bring dead things back to
life. Problems ensue.
Starring: Jeffery Combs, Bruce Abbott, Barbara Crampton
Director: Stuart Gordon
Rated: R |
Phantasm (1979)
This is a very creepy, low budget film that will give you chills all
night long! A teenage boy and his brother investigate strange goings on
at Morningside Cemetery. Along with their friend, Reggie, they find the
Tall Man, flying spheres, midgets in monks robes and a whole other world
