GIANT HALLOWEEN
SIGN
Halloween Yard Sign The Winfield
Collection specializes in do-it-yourself project patterns and
has a huge selection of paper transfer templates specifically
designed for creating Halloween props, including signs.
Their giant "Halloween
Yard Card" pattern allows you to create a giant
Halloween sigh using and entire four foot by eight foot
sheet of plywood and looks
great in front of your house or as a Halloween yard decoration.

Transferring the Sign Pattern
Making
this big plywood Halloween sign is very straight
forward and begins by placing a sheet of the special pattern
transfer paper onto a full sheet of plywood as
indicated in the sign pattern instructions.
Next, the pattern you want to use is laid on top of the
transfer sheet face down close to the edge of the plywood.
Lastly, you transfer the full-size pattern lines onto the plywood by tracing the pattern
with a pen,
pencil or stylus.
Painting
the Sign
To finish the project, paint the sign with the colors
as indicated in the instructions or to suite your own taste. Using
the areas and lines created by the template makes painting as
easy as “painting by numbers” and ensures your project will look
great when you’re finished.
Securing
the Sign
For our plywood Halloween sign, we just nailed a piece of
four foot long two by four on either side of the back and
mounted these posts in the ground. Or you can temporarily
attach it to your fence with nails or screws and use an
outdoor flood light to illuminate it.
