I guess we're just finicky
when it comes to werewolf costumes. Most look pretty bad. Below are a
few of the
only versions that we have really liked.
ScreamTeam Makeup Kit
Lycanthus is the ScreamTeam's take on a classic legend – the werewolf.
More wolf/man than a typical wolf look, their prosthetic offers the
realistic movement that a snout-style mask can’t achieve. Shown on the
right with Wolfen teeth and special effects contact lenses, Lycanthus is
not someone you would want to run into when the moon is full.
The Lycanthus makeup kit from ScreamTeam contains, one professional foam latex
appliance ready to apply and make up, and their detailed,
easy-to-follow instruction booklet! The kit does not contain the teeth,
ears, fur or contacts lenses. They are sold separately.
Apply the latex pieces
first and do the makeup on them. Follow with fake hair or fur and fill
in any place that shows real skin. You can apply it in small chunks or a
few hairs at a time, depending on how good you want it to look.
As wardrobe we would
recommend wearing a dark brown or black trench coat, and a plaid shirt
and jeans for that outdoors look. Make sure to glue some fur to the
backs of the hands, using spirit gum so the hands will match the rest!
Death Studios - Blood Moon Werewolf
Possibly the best made and best looking Werewolf mask and accessories
ever made. Made in limited numbers, Death Studios only used the best
quality latex, paint and hair when manufacturing this mask and its
matching hands and feet.
Unfortunately, the Blood Moon werewolf mask
and matching werewolf hands and feet are no longer available. What a
shame!
This is one nasty looking mask and so much easier than
applying a face. You can still find the occasional werewolf mask that
looks good but they are few and far between! They really should do
another run of this mask!
Werewolf Costume
The Deluxe adult Werewolf costume a deluxe overhead mask with plush fur
throughout, very realistic resin teeth and an elasticized band to
support your head.
Also includes a tattered red gingham shirt
with brown plush faux fur on the chest using a torn through fabric
effect. A pair of plush faux fur gloves with rubber wolf man hands on
the top. You will need a pair of your own preferably tattered trousers
to complete the look.
For couples, a Little Red
Riding Hood costume goes along great with a werewolf!
If you are lucky, you'll hit a Halloween with a full
moon, check your local news or weather channel to find out when that
will be!
