Costumes
aren't just for Halloween!
It always seems such a let down,
suddenly Halloween is here and then gone. Our costumes get
packed away. To remedy that, we dress up for Christmas every year
as well!
Lets face it, we all love to
dress-up for Halloween, so why let the fun end on November
1st. I own a
top of the line Santa suit and my wife dresses as the Mrs.
This gives us a
chance to enjoy dressing in costume and adding to the
Christmas cheer of others as they watch Santa and Mrs. Claus
hand out the presents on Christmas day!
We've also found
they come in handy if we want to do charity events. We work
with the fire department and local homeless shelters to give
the kids a thrill at Christmas parties and events, handing
out gifts or before Christmas to listen to the children's
Christmas wish lists.
There are a lot of
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus costumes and accessories available
ranging from very basic to elegant, high-end apparel like those pictured
above.
Of course, it depends on your price range as well, but
investing in a good costume can mean years of tradition and
can be passed on later to your kids to use with their
families.
You can also use
this on Halloween, it would be a very unexpected costume.
There are a few horror films out there that are Christmas
themed and he could be an evil Santa if you throw some blood
around the suit, spray some dirty gray and brown hair paint
on the beard and suit, add a bag full of body parts, a
bloody axe and
there you go! Of course, you would want to use the least
expensive costume for this since you'd be ruining it with
fake blood and colored hair spray.
