The 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie and its main
character, Leatherface, was one of the first slasher style film
villains.
The homicidal character wore a mask made of human skin,
the practice of which led to his name, and was a cannibal. He often used
a chainsaw to kill and slaughter his victims.
